Dr. Shai Bel, Ph.D.

Investigator
Shai is a native of the Tel-Aviv area. He completed his Ph.D. at the Bar-Ilan University with Prof. Uri Nir. Shai went on to do his postdoc with Prof. Lora Hooper at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Out of the lab Shai attempts to be a functional parent to 2 boys and find time to play the guitar.

Dr. Meital Nuriel-Ohayon, Ph.D.
Lab Manager
Meital earned her PhD in Medical Science with Dr Omry Koren at the Bar-Ilan University in the field of host-microbiota interactions. Her specialty in the Bel lab is working with germ-free mice and microbiota transfer and analysis. Outside the lab, Meital enjoys reading, eating, running and spending time with her husband and 3 daughters.
